The curriculum
Six modules to learn AI skills with purpose
From foundational competence with ChatGPT and Copilot to client-ready deliverables and a professional portfolio — each module builds on the last with deliberate, hands-on practice.
Programme architecture
Our curriculum is designed for Singapore professionals who need to integrate AI tools into real workflows — not merely understand them in theory. Each module combines guided instruction, practical exercises with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude, and structured review sessions that reinforce prompt engineering discipline.
Whether you are upskilling for a corporate role, building freelance capacity, or leading a small business, the six-module sequence provides a coherent path from first steps to demonstrable competence. You will learn AI skills that transfer across platforms and remain relevant as the tool landscape evolves.
Module 1 — Foundations: Practical AI Work Skills
This opening module establishes the baseline competence every professional needs before advancing to specialised workflows. You will navigate the major AI tools — ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude — understanding their strengths, limitations, and appropriate use cases within a Singapore professional context. We cover account setup, interface literacy, basic prompt structure, and the ethical boundaries of AI-assisted work. Exercises mirror everyday tasks: drafting emails, summarising meeting notes, and generating first-draft content for review. By the end, you will have a personal toolkit configuration and the confidence to use AI tools as disciplined assistants rather than unpredictable shortcuts. Prompt engineering fundamentals introduced here form the backbone of every subsequent module.
Module 2 — Professional AI Workflows for Daily Work
Building on foundations, this module maps AI tools onto your actual daily routines. You will design repeatable workflows for report preparation, data summarisation, presentation drafting, and internal communication — each with defined prompt templates and quality checkpoints. We examine how Copilot integrates with Microsoft 365 environments common in Singapore corporations, and how ChatGPT and Claude serve complementary roles for research, analysis, and creative drafting. The emphasis is on consistency: creating systems you can rely on Monday through Friday, not one-off experiments. Participants leave with documented workflow maps and prompt libraries tailored to their professional domain, ready for immediate deployment in Tanjong Pagar offices or remote setups across the island.
Module 3 — Client-Ready AI Deliverables & Quality
Professional reputation depends on output quality, and AI-generated content demands rigorous review before it reaches clients, stakeholders, or the public. This module teaches the quality framework we expect of every AI Skills SG graduate: accuracy verification, tone calibration, factual cross-checking, and formatting standards that meet Singapore business expectations. You will practice transforming raw AI outputs into polished deliverables — proposals, briefs, reports, and presentations — while maintaining your authentic professional voice. We address common failure modes: hallucinated references, inconsistent terminology, and over-reliance on generic phrasing. By completion, you will have a personal quality checklist and review protocol that protects your credibility in any professional setting.
Module 4 — Scope, Prompts & Review with AI Tools
Advanced prompt engineering separates competent AI users from those who struggle with unpredictable results. This module dives deep into scoping AI-assisted projects: defining boundaries, structuring multi-step prompts, managing context windows, and iterating systematically toward reliable outputs. You will learn chain-of-thought prompting, role-based instructions, constraint setting, and output formatting techniques that work consistently across ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude. The review component teaches you to evaluate AI suggestions critically — knowing when to accept, refine, or reject machine-generated content. These skills are essential for professionals who manage teams, oversee projects, or deliver complex work products where precision matters more than speed.
Module 5 — AI Skills for Small Business & Freelance Work
Independent professionals and small-business operators face unique AI opportunities and constraints. This module addresses client communication, proposal writing, content creation, administrative automation, and competitive positioning — all through the lens of lean operations. You will learn to use AI tools for market research, social media drafting, invoice correspondence, and project scoping without sacrificing the personal touch that clients value. We cover PDPA-aware practices for handling client data with AI tools and strategies for transparently communicating AI-assisted work to customers. Singapore freelancers and SME owners leave this module with practical systems that save hours weekly while maintaining the quality standards their reputation depends upon.
Module 6 — Capstone: Your AI Skills SG Portfolio
The programme culminates in a capstone project that demonstrates your integrated AI skills to employers, clients, or colleagues. You will select a real professional challenge, apply the full toolkit — prompt engineering, workflow design, quality review, and deliverable production — and present a portfolio piece with documented process and outcomes. Instructors provide individual feedback during studio sessions, ensuring your capstone reflects genuine competence rather than superficial familiarity. Graduates receive a certificate of completion and access to our alumni Q&A forum for ongoing support. This module transforms learning into evidence: a tangible proof of your ability to learn AI and apply it with professional discipline in Singapore's competitive knowledge economy.
Workshop format
Each module combines live instruction with hands-on studio time. Cohort sizes remain deliberately small so every participant receives considered feedback on their prompt engineering technique and workflow design. Self-paced options are available for modules one through five, with the capstone requiring live participation for portfolio review.

The final module is where theory becomes evidence. Your capstone portfolio demonstrates end-to-end AI skills — from initial scoping through prompt engineering, quality review, and client-ready delivery. It is the piece you share with employers, clients, or your professional network to show what you can do, not merely what you have attended.
